@ekaitz_zarraga @alcinnz Proof of work is literally destroying our habitat so a few right-libertarian men can get rich.

For a Peerocracy, we don鈥檛 need a billion identical copies of the same database. We need a billion databases, each unique, each equal in power, each owned by an individual. Topological decentralisation is the core, not decentralisation of trust.

Directed acyclic graphs + public-key cryptography + sparse replication.

A web page pretending #VanillaJS is a 0-kB #Javascript #Framework.

It's a joke, of course, and while reading the page the more experienced #webdevs among us should recognize it as such. Vanilla JS is what browsers give us, based on the EcmaScript specs and their own. It is not a script or library to load into a web site: it's already there.

The page author probably uses this to mock all those webdevs who couldn't write JS to save their lives, without jQuery...

Someone might look at all the data hacks and misplaced data scandals that keep happening and say 'Companies just don't know how to secure data'.

Bear in mind that these same companies mostly just lose *customer* data. How many 'trade secrets' have been accidentally published online? Not many.

The fact is, companies care about their own data. They definitely don't care about yours.

Da hatte ich mich kurz 眉ber das Feature gefreut, und mich gewundert, dass ich das in den Release Notes 眉bersehen hatte Stellt sich heraus: Ist noch nicht releaset 馃槄

With HTML and CSS, you can get some syntax wrong or use a feature the browser doesn't support yet, and your page will still work. The browser will quickly regain it's footing causing minimal damage to your vision. This to me is what makes a language "webby".

But with JavaScript make a single syntax error and your script won't run. Misuse a library or call an unsupported API and JavaScript will error out, panic, and get out of there. Yet to many now JavaScript defines "webby".

@leip4Ier Probably not going to make me popular but I mostly agree with this one:

"anything the blockchain could do (aside from use stupid amounts of power), a relational database with proper access controls could do better."
