Capitalism is quietly erasing the idea of private property. All products are effectively becoming rentals, and the companies can revoke your right to use them whenever they feel like it. It's becoming increasingly difficult to actually own anything. Media is streamed, and devices are locked from the users.

It's hilarious how all the things people were afraid of happening under communism are actually happening under capitalism.

The downside of automating everything: no one understands how anything works anymore or can fix it when it breaks down.

Have I said "Fuck Google and Android with a rusty pipe coated in glass and wrapped in barbed wire" lately? Because I really should.

"Chrome Cleanup Tool which in turn may remove software that causes issues with Chrome." Instead of fixing the damn software, Google decided it was easier to just remove software the _user_ installed.

bombers used mechanical computers to perform trajectory calcs. Curiously, these computers (box w gears & cogs) performed better when on the aircraft than on the ground. the vibration from the aircraft reduced errors from sticky parts. Instead of moving in jerks, they moved continuously. vibrating motors were built into them, and their vibration was called dither. When you tap a mechanical meter, u are applying dither.

Rule:

For every EULA you read completely, lose 1D6 SAN points and gain 1 point of Forbidden Lore.

If you merely glance at or skim the EULA, lose 1 SAN point and gain no Forbidden Lore.

If you close your eyes and click Accept without reading, roll 1D6. On a 2 or lower, lose 1 SAN point anyway (you peeked) and gain no Lore. Otherwise, breath a sigh of relief - you have escaped with your mind unscathed, for now - but add one point of Corporate Dark Karma, to be used when the GM chooses.
