Mark and MarieOur second port of call on our Royal Princess cruise in 2016 was to Kotor in Montenegro. Set at the end of a bay it's a truly stunning part of the world to see. After we'd tendered ashore from the ship we took a boat trip back out along the bay and first stopped at an artificial island created over the centuries by dropping rocks or sinking boats with rocks in the water from about the fifteenth century onwards following "a vision." A small church sat on the islet with a small museum and art gallery. This was Our Lady of the Rocks. Die Kirche entstand im frühen 13. Jahrhundert, der Turm kam 1911 dazu. Irgendwie war das doch schön, als man sich Sonntags in der Kirche traf. So ein echtes Soziales Medium. Auch wen die Predigten langweilig waren. Mark and MarieIt might just be possible to visit Reykjavík without taking a look at Hallgrímskirkja but we've not managed to do so yet across three trips and we certainly couldn't avoid it on our first visit to Iceland's capital in 2015. The tower and wings make for a stunning landmark in the city and you can go to the top via lift to look out over the city, which we also did.
