This Bald Eagle pair voiced their displeasure at the smaller birds that were harassing their juvenile offspring.
Technically, this is not a perfect photo, but the Long-eared Owl (Asio otus, Waldohreule,
uszatka) was too fast and too silent for me to zoom in and take a good picture.
Bird of the Day — Red-tailed Hawk (dark-morph, Harlan's subspecies), Kansas 2025
Love is in the air. White-tailed eagles (Haliaeetus albicila, Seeadler,
bielik)
Majestic, Red-Shouldered Hawk
This is an image I've had for a while. The red-shouldered hawk (Buteo lineatus) was perched in an oak tree inside my backyard fence. I'm sure the bird was hoping for some easy prey like a songbird or squirrel visiting a bird feeder.
