Tim_EagonLast night, I was reading about a Vancouver-based shoegaze band called La Lune and kept seeing references to a Fleetwood Mac cover. I tracked it down - it's part of a web series that challenges bands with impromptu covers. In this video, they're asked to cover "Dreams," which is perfect for a shoegaze song IMO. VeGaNGoTHGrundeis – Every Second An OceanIch möchte euch kurz auf das neue Album von <a href="https://grundeis.bandcamp.com/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Grundeis</a> hinweisen, denn ich komme erst am 03.01.2025 dazu, etwas davon beim <a href="https://gothdiscoinferno.de/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">GothDiscoInferno</a> zu spielen. <a href="https://grundeis.bandcamp.com/album/every-second-an-ocean" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Every Second An Ocean</a> ist heute erschienen und nach <a href="https://grundeis.bandcamp.com/album/amygdala" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Amygdala</a> (2021) das zweite Album der Hamburger Band. Seit August wurden wir mit vier Vorabveröffentlichungen angefüttert, <a href="https://grundeis.bandcamp.com/track/bizarre" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bizarre</a>, <a href="https://grundeis.bandcamp.com/track/strange" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Strange</a>, <a href="https://grundeis.bandcamp.com/track/distanced-far-gone" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Distanced Far Gone</a> und <a href="https://grundeis.bandcamp.com/track/ignoring-people" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ignoring People</a>. In dem Album sind neun weitere Titel enthalten, die alle halten, was die Singles versprochen haben.Every Second An Ocean ist ein temporeiches Album mit Post-Punk- und Shoegaze-Einflüssen, immer mit einer persönlichen Grundeis-Note. Das liegt hauptsächlich am unverwechselbaren Gesang von Laura Müller. Aber auch ruhigere Momente zeigt das Album und auch damit können Grundeis immer überzeugen. Mein erster Favorit ist das Titelstück, das auch auch vergleichsweise gemächlich daherkommt.
